Firstly, ensure your router is connected to your cable modem (for Virgin Media) or your phone line (for other companies). Follow the router instructions to set up security .etc on the router If there is a wireless switch on your laptop (check laptop start-up guide) make sure it is in the on position Using the information entered while setting up the router (see second step) connect to the internet using you laptop.
