How do I connect my notebook or PDA to NxtNote?
Your notebook or PDA must have wireless capability. When you arrive at the NxtNote session, you will simply turn on your notebook, and launch your web browser. After you locate the NxtNote network, the instructor will give you a URL to type into the address bar. You will then be connected to NxtNote and ready to go to work! ▲Back to the top Q: What if my computer doesn’t have a wireless connection, can I still use NxtNote? A: Yes, however it will require the installation of both hardware and software. In order to communicate with our NxtNote server, your notebook or PDA must be enabled for wireless communication. If it is not, we do make available wireless cards which can be plugged into your computer. These can be installed, provided you have an available PCMCIA slot in your notebook. Just be aware that this will require installation of additional software and drivers. If you do not have administrator rights to your computer, we will not be able to install the necessary software.
