How do I Connect a Sony Dcr-Trv280 Camcorder to a Dell Inspiron B120 Computer?
The Sony DCR-TRV280 camcorder uses digital video cassettes to record picture and sound. The camcorder can be connected to other devices, such as a Dell Inspiron B120 laptop computer, using a USB cable and the software supplied with the camera. The Sony software on a CD-ROM must be installed on the Dell before the devices can communicate with each other. The actual cable connection takes only seconds. All materials needed for the setup are included with the camcorder. Press the eject button on the Dell Inspiron media drive door on the right edge of the laptop to insert the software CD that comes with the Sony camcorder. Close the tray. Click the on-screen instruction buttons to install the camera software on the laptop, then restart the Dell.
