it can be done, but check outputs/ preouts and the lack of them with your sound system, then all you need is a power suply for your car amp, the easiest option would be a caravan battery, plugged into an optimate battery monitor, which can be bought quite cheaply on ebay, if your still in doubt call in to an out door camping centre and get more advice, ps the sound from your 10″ sub will not sound any thing like it will from your house/garage to your car because of the difference in acoustics in short the sub is designed to work in a small enclosure to get the best quality sound, hope this helps.
