Dialers try to disconnect the active phone connection (the one you use to connect to the Internet) and establish a connection to a premium-rate number. This type of program could cause problems (significantly increasing your telephone bill). This is why it is very important to be protected against them by keeping the anti-dialer protection enabled all the time. To enable this option, you must have a modem installed in your computer.
