How do I configure ptelnet so I can communicate with a Guralp instrument?
A. Start ptelnet, bring up the options menu (bottom LH button on the touch screen); select Serial; set: Port=RS232; Baud=19200; Parity=N; Word=8; StopBits=1; untick Xon/Xoff and RTS/CTS. From the options menu select Terminal; set: Mode=Serial; Return=CR; Font=small; Width=80 (or Font=large; Width=64 dependent on your eyesight) ; untick Local echo. Macros can also be set from the options menu: LH column is the name displayed, RH column is the command sent (carriage return is represented by \r ; the ^ symbol of ctrl^s is written in graffiti2 by | ^ | where the lines are bottom to top).
