How do I configure my Xecunet DSL Modem with an external router?
Assuming you are using a Westell modem/router, you perform the following steps: 1) Go to Maintenance -> Backup / Restore. 2) Hit the third restore button to reset the modem to factory defaults. 3) You will now be taken back to the Setup Wizard. Enter a name for the connection, leave the Username and Password fields empty, leave the VPI and VCI settings at their default, and finally choose “bridge” as the protocol. 4) Connect your router to the ethernet port of the Westell, and proceed with the configuration of your external router according to the instructions provided by its manufacturer. Remember to configure your external router for PPPoE with your DSL username and password.
