As discussed in the klamav-users mailing list thread Evolution & KlamAV and the evolution-list thread Evolution & KlamAV, it appears that Novell’s Evolution does not, as of version 2.8.1, correctly handle the filtered email returned by klammail. As a workaround, Tom Krishan has suggested creating a single clamscan (installed as part of ClamAV, the non-graphical engine that KlamAV is built on) rule instead of a klammail filter.
