How do I configure my browser to get the most out of using CareersMatch or Careerscape Online?
To run CareersMatch/Careerscape Online you must have Java and JavaScript enabled. You will also need Macromedia Flash Player 5 or above to view the Quick Tour and animated Hints. To enable Java and JavaScript in Internet Explorer v. 5.0 and above: 1. Before you log on to CareersMatch or Careerscape Online, browse to our test page. Click the link in the main CareersMatch logging on page 2. If the JavaScript ‘Success’ message does not display, or the ‘Java is not enabled in this browser’ message is displayed, continue with the following instructions 3. Select Tools > Internet Options from the browser menu bar 4. In the Internet Options dialog box select the ‘Security’ tab 5. Select the Internet content zone 6. Using the slider, select ‘Medium’ security level. If a custom level has been set, click Default Level to activate the slider 7. Click OK 8. Click ‘Refresh’ to reload the page 9.
