How do I configure live discussion (“chat”) in Blackboard?
There are two different collaboration functions: “Chat” and “Virtual Classroom”. Both are accessible to users under “Collaboration,” a subcategory of the “Communication” menu item. You can change how the Collaboration functions are configured by going to the Control Panel for your course and clicking on “Collaboration,” located under the “Course Tools” heading. We recommend using the “Chat” rather than the “Virtual Classroom” in most cases.
