• Download and install the anti-virus program • In the anti-virus program configuration options, select ‘Disable Realtime’ since the scanner will be run directly from ISMail. Next, on the ISMail Anti-Virus configuration page: • Check the Anti-Virus Scanner Active box • Set the ‘Path to the scanner’ to the ‘inocmd32.exe’ file (e.g. c:\program files\ca\sharedcomponents\scanengine\ioncmd32.exe) • Set the Arguments box to: -ENG Ino -ARC -ACT Delete %f • Select the ‘Check Return Code’ box and enter ‘101’ • Clear the ‘Notify Recipient if Virus Found’ box • Clear the ‘Nofity Sender if Virus Found’ box (Note: many viruses contain forged email addresses so notification is not possible; however, if a virus was sent from a local account, the user will always be notified regardless of the setting of this box).
