How Do I Configure a SpeedTouch 585?
The SpeedTouch 585 Gateway is an ADSL gateway that allows you to connect to the Internet via a broadband connection. The SpeedTouch also serves as a wireless router, enabling you to connect to your DSL connection through any computer in your home or office with a wireless card on it. You can configure your SpeedTouch 585 Gateway with your own personal settings once it set up and connected to the Internet. Open a new Web browser window. Type “192.168.1.254,” the IP address for your SpeedTouch Gateway, into the browser’s address bar. You can also type “http://speedtouch.lan” into the address bar to access the configuration portal. Press “Enter” on your keyboard. Configure your SpeedTouch 585 by clicking the tabs located on the side of the page.
