For NT workstation and Windows95 follow the instructions below: • Start DHCP Manager (Start – Programs – Administrative Tools – DHCP Manager) • Double click “*Local Machine*” • From the Scope menu select Create • A dialog will be shown and following should be entered – Start Address, e.g. 200.200.200.10 – End Address, e.g. 200.200.200.100 this would mean the address 200.200.200.10 to 200.200.200.100 would be available – Subnet Mask, e.g. 255.255.255.0 – Exclusion – start and end, e.g. 200.200.200.20 and 200.200.200.30, would mean available addresses would 200.200.200.10-200.200.200.20 and 200.200.200.30-200.200.200.100 – Exclusion – just start is a single address, e.g. 200.200.200.56 – Set lease duration, by default 3 days, however can be set to unlimited – Name – this is the name of the scope, e.g. “subnet 200.200.200” – Comment – anything you want • Click OK • A message that the Scope has been added, but is not active, would you like it to be active, click Yes.
