How do I combine and decode multi-part binary newsgroup posts?

0

SeaMonkey is not designed to combine and decode multi-part news posts, but there are workarounds. First, go download and install UUDeview or yenc32. Next, in SeaMonkey Mail/News, create a new mail folder called ENCODE. File all the posts that are part of the binary to the ENCODE folder. Run your decoder program (UUDeview or yenc32), and use it to open the file ENCODE, which will reside in you profile folder. You should then be able to use the decoder program to combine the files into the location of your choice. Note: if you plan on deleting the contents of the ENCODE folder, and reusing it, remember to compact it.
