How do i clean the tracks on sliding doors and windows?
Get an auto detail brush or two. They’re longer bristled than a tooth brush and heavier duty. Wal-Mart sells sets of them for not a lot of money. They look similar to a tooth brush but the handles are at a better angle for cleaning. That’s how people who detail cars get in all those nooks and crannies! Start by using the vacuum to get as much out as you can, removing the windows will make the job easier for you. Then take your cleaner of choice and give it a good spray and let that soak a bit to loosen up the gunk. Then have a good scrub with the auto detail brush. Wipe the whole mess out with a cloth; my favorite is a microfiber cloth, they absorb more and get in more places because of all the loops on them. Then a spray of WD-40 on the tracks and slide the windows or doors back and forth a few times and you’ll be done!
