How do I clean the mold and mildew stains off the upholstery of my pop-up trailer safely?
The first thing you want to do is kill the mold and mildew with bleach. Probably a good spray designed for that would be best. Always wear protective clothing while working, such as gloves, goggles, and long sleeves. You might also want to wear a particle mask that is fine enough to stop spores. After the first spray, use a good strong disinfectant soap, but read the instructions carefully. Make sure it is safe on the fabric of the upholstery you are cleaning. I would follow up with a final scrubbing with a good terry cloth and soap and water, then rinse.
