How do I clean kitchen pipe drains?

This is a once every 2-3 months thing you will have to do… 1) Put the drain plug in, make sure you have rubber gloves and tongs to remove it. 2) You will now fill the sink with hot water only. As hot as you can stand, AND: keep an eye on it so it does NOT overflow. Fill to within 1 inch of the top of the sink. 3) Pull the plug and let ‘er rip! It will take a while to drain, but that volume of hot water is to loosen and wash away all the crud. 4) Now you want to fill it as quick as you can, with ice cold water. When you let this water go down it will “shock” and grease and gunk on the sides of the pipes – hot to cold – and the gunk will flake off the side of the pipes. One way to do this is to have a big bowl of finely crushed ice handy to mix in with the cold water. 5) Meanwhile, you have been heating some hot water on the stove. As quick as you can, you want to refill the sink, but this time, as you fill you will slowly add 2 cups of liquid bleach to it. Let it rip again. 6) Repeat
