How do I clean a memory foam mattress?
Extract out as much of the liquid with a wet/dry vac that you can. That really dictates your next step because if you get to it when it is wet the procedure is different than if you already let it dry soaking into the foam. If it is still wet, you can make a paste out of borax and water after you soak out the liquid from the foam. Your mixture will need to have enough water to get into the foam a bit. Rub gently to agitate into the foam, allow to dry and vacuum up the excess. I would hit it then with a mist of Lysol Disinfecting Antibacterial Spray for fabrics just to be certain you kill all of the bacteria. If it is dried into the mattress, the smell is caught in the foam and you have to re-wet it. I would do that with Nature’s Miracle which is a non-toxic, fume free, biodegradable natural enzyme which breaks down the bacteria in urine and eliminates odor.
