Rinse the PotEmpty the coffee pot of any leftover coffee. Fill the pot with warm water and swirl the water around in the pot for 30 seconds. Pour the water into the sink.Use Baking SodaPlace half a dozen ice cubes inside the coffee pot. Pour 1/2 cup of baking soda into the pot and shut the lid. Shake and swirl the baking soda mixture around. Periodically look inside the pot to check your progress. Continue to shake the pot for no more than one to two minutes. Pour the mixture out and rinse the pot with tap water.Use Vinegar and Baking SodaPour 1/2 cup of baking soda in the bottom of the pot. Pour enough white vinegar in the pot to completely cover the baking soda. Place the lid on the pot and swirl the vinegar mixture around to remove any stains. Pour the mixture out, and rinse the pot with warm, soapy water.
