How do I claim the 30% child care rebate through the Tax Office?

0

If you are required to lodge a tax return, you can claim the rebate from the Tax Office in your income tax return. You can lodge your income tax return via e-tax, through a tax agent, or using TaxPack. If you are not required to lodge a tax return, you can transfer your rebate entitlement to the person who was your spouse on 30 June 2007. To do this, use the transfer advice contained in e-tax or in the 30% child care tax rebate instructions and transfer advice 2007 (NAT 14719-6.2007). You can request a printed copy of this publication from 1 July 2007 – phone the publications self-help service on 13 28 65 or go to online ordering.
