How do I check the Medicare Australia registration progress?
Medicare Australia will validate and authenticate the Registration Forms. The process includes: • Validating Evidence-Of-Identity; Individual/Business Documentation and Registration Documents. • Contacting/confirming details with HealthCare entities (e.g. Duly Authorised Officer, Referee etc.). • Entering the HealthCare details into the Medicare Austalia database and LDAP directory. • Generating your unique Personal Identification Code (PIC). • Generating your HealthCare Site Certificates. The entire process may take days or weeks. The PIC letter is sent by Person-to-Person post and may take several days to reach the recipient.
