First, (with dyno off) zero the display on the dynocontroller by pressing the “auto-zero” button. Next,press and hold the “SHUNT CAL” button until the torque reading stops changing; remember the final torque value. Press and hold the “SHUNT CAL” button again. The final value of torque this time should be opposite in sign,but equal in magnitude (to within a couple of percent) to the previous value. (BRG, 11/25/96) 200 HP Dynamometer notes – 2/15/2000 This dyno is hooked in parallel with the 300 HP dyno to the load bank on the back wall of the lab. Only one can be connected at a time and the connection is “manual”, the cables need to be unbolted and the other set bolted on. The 200 HP dyno is capable of motoring but no automatic control is available. The dyno controller needs to be set in the manual mode, NOT speed or torque mode.
