How do I change the username (and email account) for Sprint PCS vision?
You can change it from Sprint’s web site, but in case it didn’t work, here’s what I had to do. Every phone as a unique MSL code (Master Subsidy Lock), which you must get from Sprint (you can read about MSL codes at http://www.bridog.net/cellular/msl.txt). Here is the process, which I documented as I went through the steps. Be sure to call Sprint PCS Customer Service from a land-line phone and not your cell phone: • From the settings menu select SETTINGS • Select Internet and Sign Off (you must be sure you are signed out of the Internet) • Press END to return to your main screen. • Enter ##3282 (which spells “##DATA” by the way) • Press your MenuOK button • A menu displays and you select SAVE PHONE# • You are prompted to enter your MSL number (which I had to get from Sprint) • A menu displays and you select CUSTOM NAI • Completely erase the old user name by holding down the BACK key • Leaving the user name blank, press the MenuOK button (the new user name will be retrieved by the phone
