How do I change the resolution on the SparcStation 4?
The SparcStation 4 with the 17″ entry level monitor has a default screen resolution of 1024×768. Both the monitor and the frame buffer will support 1152×900. With an additional VSIMM the TCX will support 1280×1024, but I’m not certain that the monitor will. As noted above, the timing parameters are different for the TCX. Here’s an example of how to set the resolution to 1152×900 on the entry level monitor.
