How do i change the pcv valve?
Locating the positive crankcase ventilation valve (PCV) is often the hardest part of the job. The PCV is usually “L” shaped, and sticks out of one of the valve covers on your engine. The other end of the PCV will be connected to a hose or hoses that feed crankcase gases back into the fuel system to be burned along with the fuel. Make sure that the parts match up visually before beginning. Pull the hose or hoses off your current PCV, being sure to label them for replacement later. Then pull the PCV out of your valve cover. It’s generally easier to install the hose or hoses onto the new PCV before trying to plug it into your valve cover.Source:”Air Pollution Control Law: Compliance and Enforcement”; Arnold W.
