How do I change the default Local Place settings to the correct date, time, place and time zone for where I live?

From the Main Screen, go “Settings”, “Defaults” to open the Default Settings window. Next click on the “Local Place” tab and select your country (and state if required) and city. Click the “Save Place” button. Next click on the “Atlas” tab and select your country (and state if required) from the list box. NB. the date and time used in Janus for current charts, such as the chart that is calculated when you start Janus, or Horary and Electional charts is based on your computer’s internal clock. When Daylight Savings Time (DST) is effective in your country Janus will automatically correct the local time for DST or Standard Time (ST) as required.
