how do i change the “car type” sound setting on my scion radio?
thanks to Limey on the scionlife forums as i was unaware of this one. i remember reading about the “car type” setting, but i assumed it was only on the ’05 models and was very confused as this is not listed in my 2006 radio manual (unless i’m completely blind). the “car type” setting further changes your equalizer settings and can significantly change how sound is reproduced from you stock radio. the following procedure works on *all* scion radios to date (and despite what Limey says, i do know it all!!!
