To change your political party affiliation you are required to submit a new voter registration application. Please include your previous voter information and indicate that you are changing your party affiliation to assist the county’s effort to maintain a current voter database.

I’m told that if you vote in either a primary/general election for the other party, it changes your registration to that party. The registrations expire every year.

Go to the headquarters (in your county) of whichever party you want to switch to, and ask them for the form. They’ll have one that you can fill out.
