How do I change leave dates or a leave type in the middle of a leave?
The following information is provided to alleviate any misunderstanding regarding how to change leave types in the middle of a leave. Prior to HRS, the system required only one action to change a leave and that action affected all subsequent leave transactions and/or returns. HRS being an “effective dated” system can not handle transactions in the same way. When a change is made in HRS it will “roll up” the information until it reaches the next leave or a return. Below are several different examples that may clarify how to handle a change of leave, return on an earlier date, or return at a later date. Return from leave to an earlier date after an extension has been processed.
