Saturate either a fine or medium scotch brite pad with liquid soap and gently stroke the ring along its circumference under a slow stream of running water. Keep the pad saturated with soap so that you are constantly providing lubricant while you are gently abrading the ring. This will result in the restoration of the ring’s matte finish.
