How do I care for a Norwegian pine?

Luck you to get such a wonderful gift. Give your pine bright-indirect light, like an east window, but out of direct sunlight. Water just enough to keep the soil moist, but not soaking wet. Do not fertilize your pine. When the weather gets in to the 60 degree days take your plant out during the day, but bring it back in at night. When all danger of frost is gone let it stay out at night. When you plant your pine take into consideration that it will become a very large tree in a few years. Plant it well away (25 feet) from your home, garage, power lines or anything that could cause it problems later. Plant the tree just to the top of the soil line and no deeper, water the plant and the hole before you fill in with soil. Keep the pine watered throughout the spring and summer.
