How do I care for a Canna Lilly?
Found this on the web hope it helps. Canna lilly care Q. I am new to growing canna lillies. I live near the Idaho/Utah border. Does it get cold enough up here to have to dig up the cannas in winter?, or will they be OK in the ground? Any other tips you can provide will help. Thanks. P.S. Your site rocks! – Dave Butte A. Thanks for the kind words! I’d dig those babies up if I were in your zone…brrr….But I have very fond memories of summer in your part of the world, especially the color of the sky. Anyway, dig the bulbs, brush the dirt off, and store in a ventilated bag (like an onion bag or pantyhose). It’s even better if you can put sawdust or cedar shavings or something in between the cannas in storage so they don’t touch each other. Don’t let them freeze in storage, either!
