How do i calculate the time zone?
There are 24 hours in a day, and the Earth is 360 degrees around. So, for each 15 degrees longitidue east or west of the prime meridian, your time zone will be about one more hour further away from GMT (Greenwich Mean Time). Time zones are related geographically, but there are also poltical considerations (for instance, in the US, state governments try to avoid having their state bisected by a time zone, many countries try this too, but it is not always practical. Also, some nations adjust to the nearest half hour, like India, Iran and Burma). So this won’t always work but it is a reasonable first stab.
