How do I bypass the Simultaneous Connection Attempt limit in SP2?
Windows XP SP2 limits the number of simultaneous TCP connection tries to ten. Note that this doesn’t limit the number of established TCP connections. You still can have 100s of it. If the “connection attempts” hits over the limit they will just be queued to be done later. A workaround is available. Check your Event log for indications to see whether the patch is necessary.
