How do I bring bang glam metal/ 80s music back to the population?
Its very unlikely that glam metal will reign supreme ever again, especially since the grunge scene came in and invaded in the late 80’s-early 90’s. Thrash metal will probably do well in the local indie scenes in North America. But death metal is probably the closest for gaining this “population” you’re talkin about. I know at least around where i live there are thousands of death metal and speed metal fans, but other than that, 80’s metal doesn’t look like a real legit possibility, as much as that saddens me to admit. But the only way this can work is if these metal bands start using their imaginations to take the bands that influence them and bring these styles of music to the next level and starting banding together to make kickass concerts that make fans want to make their own bands, like Monsters of Rock ’91 in Russia with Pantera, AC/DC, and Metallica, or a concert i saw last year in Toronto called Metal Masters, there was Testament, Motorhead, Heaven and Hell, and Judas Priest.
