Presentation of the identification card is always required to charge out library materials. Students with a valid identification card from any University System of Maryland institution may borrow circulating materials from the law library or any of the 16 libraries in the University System of Maryland. Materials are due on one of three days throughout the calendar year in February, May and September depending upon the date the item is charged. The loan period, however, will always be at least 56 days, subject to recall by another patron after 14 days. Students should check the Catalog and at the User Services Desk for items they cannot find on the shelves. Hold requests may be placed on materials out on loan. Since circulation records are confidential, the library will not release the identity of borrowers to other patrons. If the book needed is currently charged out or cannot be found, please see a member of the circulation staff for assistance in locating or recalling the item.
