How do I bill for out-of-home respite provided at an American Camping Association camp?
The fees for camps must be delineated to ensure that Medicaid funds are not used to pay room and/or board at camps. Medicaid does not pay for room and board for out-of-home respite services if services are not provided in a Medicaid-approved institution. Room and board cost for camp must be assumed by the participant or through non-waiver resources.
