Take your dog outside along with something to hold the urine sample in. Stay close to your dog and pay attention to when they look like they are about to urinate. One way to stay close is to place your dog on the leash. When they squat or lift their leg to urinate, place the container under the urine stream to collect. You may have to attempt this a couple times, if your dog becomes startled or is unaccustomed to the container. If your dog is trained to use a pee pad, you may be able to collect the urine from the pad with a syringe.
