How do I best finish Perimeter Mouldings once installed?
A. Fill all nail holes, marks in the surface or damaged areas with a quality wood filler. Sand to an even finish with a fine grit paper (320/360) and then coat with a quality acrylic (water based) or enamel (oil based) paint. In most instances a single coat either by brush or spray (2 wet on wet coats) will yield a high quality finish. If a better result is necessary, apply further coats until a desired finish is achieved. Allow sufficient drying time between coats and follow the paint manufacturers instructions.
