There are many options to look for a job that does not require years of schooling. Customer service is one of the main fields with this highlight. Becoming a Caregiver is how one would begin a career in assisted living. There is no medical experience necessary in order to become a caregiver and this position does not require any college classes.
Training is usually provided from the hiring company. Most Caregivers are employed to assist the elderly with day to day living responsibilities like light housekeeping such as dusting, vacuuming, making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens. Also caregivers will run errands and accompany their clients to appointments or events of the clients choice.
Another option is to become a Care Companion. While this position is more complex and based on personal and mental growth, stability and nourishment, it still does not require any college classes. Most Care Companions begin as Caregivers and then move on to the more demanding position at a later time.
