The application process varies depending on the type of development proposed. All applicants are encouraged to speak to a Pre-submittal Planner before applying for any permits. The pre-submittal application process provides answers to all of your questions and/or concerns regarding the proposed project. To setup a pre-submittal meeting, please contact the appropriate Pre-submittal Planner: • For Commercial, Industrial, and Residential permit applications or Residential permit applications not involving subdivisions, contact Craig Malin at (805) 654-2403 or via email at Craig.Malin@ventura.org to schedule an appointment anytime between the hours of 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday through Thursday. • For Subdivision applications, you may contact Debbie Morrisset either by phone at (805) 654-5037, via email Debbie.Morrisset@ventura.org, or visit the Planning Public Counter between the hours of 3:00 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
