How do I become eligible for an EAP under the Family Single Student Plan and Family Multiple Student Plan?
EAPs for students enrolled in the Family Single Student Plan or the Family Multiple Student Plan will be based solely on the income accumulated in the agreement, to further the student’s education at the post-secondary school level. The student must provide confirmation from the Registrar’s Office of his or her full or part-time acceptance into an academic or professional program at a Recognized Institution. A recognized program is any academic or professional program at a Recognized Institution that qualifies as a qualifying educational program under the Income Tax Act (ITA), being a program at a post-secondary level of not less than three consecutive weeks (thirteen weeks outside Canada) requiring not less than ten hours per week on courses or work in the program.
