How do I become an accountant if I am currently a civil engineer?

0

I am currently a 24 year old civil engineer who is starting to realize that maybe this career path might not be the best choice. I was wondering what it would take to become an accountant. I was thinking of taking classes part time (nights) at a local university while working. I am not sure if I need to get a bachelors, a masters, or just do the MBA program. I’m guessing the CPA certification probably can go with any of those options. I’m just not sure on what schooling I need. Thanks!
