How do I become a U.S naturalized citizen.?
Well Hon, so sorry to hear all that is happening to you. Sounds really bad. You can become an American Citizen after you take a test for Citizenship but you will never be a Naturalized Citizen. That is for people how are born in the USA. Yes you will need a Visa you also have to have a work or School Visa then before your 5th year here you need to take the Test for Citizenship. After 5 years I really don’t know. I have always heard you needed to do it within the 1st 5 years. Hope this helps some. God Bless you and lots of luck when you do get here.
You need a skill that is needed by business to get a working visa. That means a minimum of a BA or BS. And it has to be in a field approved for immigration by the US. You then have to get a business to sponsor you for a visa and get you a permanent resident card. After you have been a permanent resident for 5 years you can apply to become a naturalized citizen. Figure about 7 to 8 years total to become a citizen if things don’t change. After you become a citizen you can apply to the police force of your choice. If accepted you then go to the police academy for more schooling. Then you can be a cop.
