HOW DO I BECOME A LICENSED SEPTIC INSTALLER IN FLOYD COUNTY?
1.) Download a copy of the Indiana State Department of Health Rules 410 IAC 6-8.2, which discusses residential sewage disposal systems. 2.) Study the manual and contact the Floyd County Health Department to set up a time to take the Installer’s Exam (There is no cost to take the exam). 3.) If you pass the exam, there is a yearly fee to be an installer in Floyd County, which is $100.00. If you do not pass the exam, the individual taking the exam must wait 30 days until they can take the exam again or another individual from your company may take it. 4.) If you passed the exam, you will be issued a license that is good for one year. If you renew your license when the health department sends out renewal notices, you will not have to take the Installer’s exam again. If you do not renew at the appropriate time, you will be issued a late fee (50% of license fee) in addition to the license fee and will have to take the exam over again. ** If you are an individual who has taken and passed the
