We have a new section of our ASM recipe which includes new advice on barycenter correcting ASM data. HEXTE issues: My realtime data do not seem to include the 16s housekeeping required by the tool hxtdead. Can I still correct the data for deadtime? Unfortunately, while the HEXTE 16s housekeeping files are not included in any realtime data, they are necessary to correct for deadtime. You will have to wait for the processed data to do this correction. In the mean time, you can still perform valuable analysis following the last item in the recipe for correcting the background by hand. (This procedure does not take into account the instrument deadtime, but it should correct the background for the four seconds each rocking period when it is slewing and collecting no data.) While running hxtdead, I see warning messages about “uld or xuld undfined…” and “Detector 0: Uld data interpolated…”; is this a problem? This is not a problem, but merely a warning that the science data extends slight
