How do I backup files in a CD-R?

You MUST have a CD/DVD WRITER to be able to do this. Put in your empty CD in your CD WRITER. Go to “My Computer” and open it. Open the drive that the CD is in. It WILL show up as a Blank window. Resize the window so that you can see the file(s) you want to save. Then just drag and drop what you want to save into the CD window. Then go UP to Edit and then Write Files to Disk. If you have a LOT of files, you may need more than one CD. EDIT: Ok, so you’ve tried all of what we’ve suggested and it doesn’t work. What you need to do now is find out how to configure your puter to accept BOTH the Floppy AND the CD-R. Go about this in one of several ways. Take the thing into the shop, tell them what you said here and have them fix it. OR try going to a Tech website like http://www.cnet.com , sign up, find the “Computer Newbies Forum” and ask there. I’ve found them to be a GREAT BIG help at times! GOOD LUCK!
