How do I avoid paying the Filing Fee to file for the scholarship?
Access your existing application or set up a new one through the website. Go to Section 6, Financial Aid. Go to the box that says Academic Honors, Awards or Publications and type in that box “SCILS Scholarship Applicant.” This allows you to submit the application without paying the $50 filing fee. You must type this information in the box before you submit the application. You may not edit the online application, once it is submitted. Notify the Grant Administrator, Susan Briant, by calling 609-292-3831 or sbriant@njstatelib.org if you have problems with the application fee.
