How do I audition for the Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, or Symphonic Band?

The Concert Band at Baylor is designed for those who want to continue their musical experience in a relaxed setting. The class meets only two days per week in the spring semester only (MW from 4:00 p.m. 6:00 p.m.). No audition is necessary to participate in Concert Band, and there is no requirement to be in a concert band during the spring term. The Baylor Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band meet during the fall and spring term and are comprised of the finest student musicians on campus. The Wind Ensemble meets MWF from 2:25 p.m. to 3:25 p.m., and the Symphonic Band meets MWF from 12:50 p.m. to 2:10 p.m. Auditions are held during the week prior to the beginning of the fall semester. Audition excerpts will be available for download on the School of Music Website in July.
