How do i attach silk flower petals to a wedding cake?

0

I’ve made several wedding cakes using silk flower petals held onto fondant covered cakes with straight pins. (Like the pins used in sewing) Buy the ones with the tiny silver heads, not the big, colored heads and just poke the pin through the petal and into the cake. You may need to use 2 in one petal if the petals are especially large or heavy, but not usually. They stay, put….trust me. Just make sure to notify whomever is cutting the cake about the pins and instruct them to remove them prior to service. By simply and gently pulling on the petal, pin and all come right off. Hope I’ve helped you.
